The last two days, 22 officers from several jurisdictions were able to attend Basic Home Contact Safety Training at ILEAS. This training was facilitated by two wonderful instructors, Mic Sewerd and John Orns. Day one was classroom instruction and theory. Day 2 had scenarios based in an apartment-like setting using the former nursing home section of the facility. What a great two days of training! Thank you to all who participated as well as to our instructors, the Officer Safety and Wellness Committee, and our 8 role players and evaluators!

All training was done following no contact guidelines, utilization of masks, social distancing, and plenty of hand sanitizer was available! We hope to offer this training again in a few months.
