Basic Home Contact Safety Training

Dates: Thursday, May 15, 2025 and Friday, May 16, 2025

Time:  8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (both days)

Where:  ILEAS Training Facility, 1701 E. Main Street, Urbana, IL  61802

Who:  Newer and Field Supervision Officers are encouraged to attend.

Cost:  $75.00(member)/$130.00(non-member) per participant (lodging, travel and meals are not included).

There will be no refunds issued after May 1, 2025.

Class Size:         Limited to 24 participants

Over two days, this course will cover topics including: Home Contact Safety Principles, Dress, Dwelling Types, Initial Home Contacts, Approach to Residences, Rural/Urban Settings, Purpose, Stairs, and Verbal Interactions.  The course will include classroom, practical exercises, and scenario-based situations.  Note: This course will not cover use of force, weapons, defensive tactics, or searches.
