Roll Call-BEACON Care Portal Introduction

BEACON serves as a single front door enabling parents, caregivers, and service providers to identify and connect with state-funded and community-based services for which youth may be eligible.  This presentation will be an introductory training about what the tool is; how families can use it to find resources and track assistance; and how anyone can use BEACON to help connect families with resources.

Presenter Meaghan Jorgensen, Esq., Director of Operations for Children’s Behavioral Health Transformation

Meaghan Jorgensen has served as Director of Operations for the Children’s Behavioral Health Transformation Initiative, under the leadership of Governor JB Pritzker since September of 2023.  In this role she oversees the day-to-day operations of the comprehensive and coordinated effort to strengthen and improve behavioral health services for youth in Illinois.  Before joining the Children’s Behavioral Health Transformation Initiative Meaghan served as the Executive Deputy Director of the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).

Meaghan has served in policy and administrative positions in state government since 2019, with a concentration in child welfare.  In addition to her roles in state government Meaghan is a former DuPage County State’s Attorney and has worked in numerous government affairs roles and consulting positions in the private sector.

Meaghan holds a BA from the University of Iowa, a JD from Northern Illinois University and is licensed to practice law in Illinois.  Meaghan lives in Wheaton with her husband and three children.

IPCSA Policy Regarding Virtual, COPE Approved Trainings

To receive training credit for virtual, COPE approved IPCSA sponsored trainings, each participant’s display name must contain their first name, last name and county of employment. 

In those rare occasions where individual display names are not possible due to lack of equipment or department resources, multiple participants may use a single computer; however, a supervisor/CMO/Director must email association1969@ipcsa.org at least 48 hours PRIOR to the start of the training to provide a list of those individuals who will be on camera.   The list shall contain the following information for each participant:

• First and last name
• Email address
• County of Employment
  Please allow 45-60 days for training credit to appear in RELIAS.
