The Research Committee was developed to analyze data and programs in the field of probation. Evidence Based Practices and Policies are being incorporated into every probation department across the nation; it only highlights the value and importance of research and the use of current data play within our profession. There is a need at the local level for continued objective and balanced research. As a statewide organization we have unprecedented access to resources, data and information that can be valuable to out field. The goal is to tap into these resources, conduct quality research and use the finding to enhance our existing knowledge and expand our current understanding of the issues that surrounds probation and court services in Illinois.
