Natural Response Control Tactics
Instructors Certified in 2016
For the first time ever, IPCSA collaborated with Community Corrections Institute, LLC and the American Probation and Parole Association to train 16 instructors throughout the state in Level 1 Natural Response Control Tactics.
Over 5 days in September 2016 participants learned NRCT purpose, liability, realities of how PO’s are killed & injured, tactical consideration and positioning, survival facts, mental preparation, fight/flight/freeze syndrome, the use of force, realities of responding to resistance, attack management, office safety, field safety, canine consideration, contact and cover, control on the ground, control and take downs, pressure point techniques, and controlling edged weapons….
IPCSA would like to thank the jurisdictions that sent staff to become certified. They are now training their jurisdictions and will be providing training for IPCSA in the next three years during their certification. Check the IPCSA website for future events.
